COVID-19 SOP Updates and Removals

As of May 2022, the guidance for protecting against COVID-19 in National dental practices has been revised. Our foremost priority remains the provision of the best quality dental care in a safe, welcoming environment for our patients. In line with this, the following measures are in place for your visit to Standish Street Dental:
- The clinic as you are aware was always a very clean and safe environment. However, we have placed hand sanitisers at entry points, upgraded our PPE in line with current guidelines and redesigned the patient journey to ensure your safety.
- We have installed state of the art air filtration systems throughout the practice to increase ventilation and reduce the risk of the virus spreading through the air. A combination of Plasma filtration, UVC ionization and good old fashioned air extraction all increase air changes in indoor areas, improve air quality and kill airborne virus particles for the safety of staff and patients alike.
- Wearing masks in the practice is no longer mandatory - feel free to continue wearing them if you feel more comfortable doing so. However, our Clinicians will continue to wear face coverings and PPE whilst treating patients in the surgeries.
- We are no longer calling every patient prior to each appointment to check their COVID-19 status. Please do let us know if you have any suspected COVID-19 symptoms or are currently testing positive and we will be happy to rearrange your appointment for when you are feeling better. We continually review the measures we have in place, acknowledging your feedback and strive to innovate in our dental care to ensure the practice remains as safe as possible.
As always, we will continue to take care of you to the best of our abilities, providing the clinical care necessary to maintain your oral health and provide dental treatments when needed to keep you healthy and pain free. Self-care is important, we are here for you, and would encourage you to continue to attend your appointments as long as you are happy to do so.
