Getting To Know Us... Liz
Saturday 23rd May 2020
Next up, Liz: Mrs Risk Assessment who juggles her busy work/home/social life so well and keeps us all (including Usman) in line!
Why did you decide to become a nurse?
"I had always been scared of the dentist until my family transferred to Standish Street Dental. After I finished college, I had a checkup with Chris (Wood) and he mentioned they were looking for a trainee nurse and that was it - the deal was done!"
What is/was your favourite nursing procedure, and why?
"I loved my nursing days with John Hyde, there was never a dull moment in our surgery! I have since gone on to manage the practice, which is a challenge at times, but very rewarding, with no two days being alike!"
What do you like to do for fun outside of the practice?
"I am the proud Mum of two sporty young ladies; I suppose you could say my hobby is juggling! Rugby matches, athletics track meets, fell races, hurdles, javelin and cross country... I'm chief cheerleader and support crew for my girls."
What is your favourite game to play?
"It's got to be Boules on a sunny Cornish beach with the family."
